Local Club Downtown Empty Re: Local Club Downtown

Entering the club with a careless attitude, her expression blank but wondering as she searched over the crowed. Sliding her hand down her favorite shinny grey clubbing dress, Carol made her way through the crowed over to the bar, her black heals making a soft clinking sound as she walked. Finding herself at the bar, she let herself breathe, taking in every tiny scent these partying humans produced. Bright lights scanned over the dance floor, her body vibrating from the thundering music.

As she rolled her shoulders back, the bar tender finally came over, and handed Caroline a beer. The terrible tasting liquid soothed her desire to drain every last hot body of blood in the room. Once her bottle was empty, her ocean blue eyes went back to scanning the dance floor, wondering where she could slide in. Dancing was a way she felt more free, doing something while she felt careless and didn't really know what to do.

There was no Lily, no little sister for her to take care of and to protect. It was her one job in the world, and now, now what? It had been the question lingering over her confused head for months now. Twisting her silver bracelet on her wrist, the one her sister and her had been given by their mother when they where little, the only gift her mother every gave her, the slightly depressed vampire just sat at the bar. Almost not in the mood to go dancing anymore by the reminder of her sister. She was here, in this town, some where. But Caroline wouldn't dare see her, god only knows what she might do to her little sister. Ordering another beer, Caroline waited for her lack of interest to push her out the door again, or for some one to come and drag her onto the dance floor.

The male approached the bar again after a few days of letting himself sober out and try and figure out what to do with himself. But of course, it never worked. Heaving a soft sigh, he stretched his back and took a seat at the bar next to a girl with blonde hair. She was pretty enough for him to take a second look, but to give her a friendly smile, making sure she knew he wasn't some creep who was checking her out. Zack wasn't in it for sex, if he saw someone pretty, he didn't mind saying it and telling her how he felt.

Zack turned his attention back to the bar, running his fingers messily through his hair and nodding an order to the bartender. When he received his beer, he smiled and thanked him, sipping gingerly at the cold liquid that he was getting to know far too well. At least this girl didn't seem like the slut he met last time he was here. He didn't want to consider that, but she had been, hanging off his arms like they were a year together couple. Hell, the girl wasn't even drunk.

The dark haired male had been wearing his favorite gray tank top like shirt so he could show off his tattoos, but the girl seemed to like them a little too much. Today he had on a white one, only cause of the weather, and his favorite dark jeans. Zack turned to the pretty girl beside him and flashed her a friendly smile. Figuring he should introduce himself rather than just stare at her, he cast his hand out, smiling. "Hello there, i'm Zack. What brings you out to a club, all by yourself?" He smiled warmly, he would have even added a 'if you don't mind my asking.' but sometimes people think he's so friendly, he could be gay. Shaking it off, he kept his hand out to shake hers.

It hadn't been long since Carol had sat and gotten a drink before a man had come up and sat down next to her. But something about the way he came to sit told her that he wasn't coming to flirt. Biting her lip gently when she noticed him staring once, she wondered why he seemed so different.

Tapping her nails against the glass bottle to the beat of the current song, she continued to wonder, only attempting to get a few glances at his tattoos and body structure as time passed. With another gulp of disgusting liquid, cold and yet burning down her throat, she continued to wait for some kind of move or greetings from the man.

Then, as Carol was brushing back her blonde strands with a friendly smile towards him, she discovered him speaking towards her. Learning his name is Zack, that he was questioning her being at the club, and offering his hand in greetings, Carol couldn't help but grow a smile, as if finding the gesture slightly funny. "Hey, I'm Caroline." She says sweetly, turning to finally get a full picture of the man who's skin was painted on like a canvas. She then took his hand, gently shaking it, and then letting go a few seconds after before speaking again. "I guess I'm here to...observe, maybe dance, but mostly drink some sorrows away." She answered truthfully, taking another gulp of beer before letting out a soft laugh at her poor reasoning. Taking another sniff of the air, she was almost shocked to realize he didn't smell tasty, he smelled normal, which was weird for Caroline, because normally that was associated with other vampires. "What about you?" Curiosity took over at the idea, as she rested an elbow on the counter, her deep ocean blue gaze searching over the males features, trying to find, something that proved her theory right.

Her voice seemed like a soft song to him. Facing her now without feeling so awkward, he realized she was absolutely beautiful. His mind wandered to how someone like her could be sorrowful, but he pushed the thought away. If he was here to make friends, there was no need for him to dig into more personal questions. Zack noticed she smelt similar to him, and he took in the option that she too, might be a vampire. If that was the case, then maybe he wouldn't have to struggle at figuring out what to do with his simple life anymore.

The one who had bitten him had simply vanished the same night. Never once had he feltor sensed him. Zack had figured he had gone into hiding, but who could know? He was still simply trying to figure out who he was. When the girl released his hand, he had to wonder. Why was he here? The man had been coming here for quite a while now on weekends, when work was short. But he really wasn't sure why. Maybe it was just to clear his head, maybe to chase away what he had become.

The weekends were always the same either way. He worked fur hours during the week, then spent Saturdays here drinking, then regretting it Sunday just to do it again. "Similar to you, I guess. Figure things out and possibly chase away the things that haunt me." his words were blunt, but his voice remained friendly. The sound of a slow song hitting the air flicked his attention up. He took another sip of the alcohol then got to his feet, once again extending his arm to Caroline. "If you're to dance, May I steal the first?" He flashed her a bright smile, white teeth reflecting, and eyes shining.

Zack seemed a little puzzled by her question, but that was almost expected for Carol, seeing how the question would cause almost everybody a pause. But she smiled at it, thinking it might possibly be another sign that he too, was a vampire. But as she took another swipe of the cold liquid, Zack began to explain he too was her to sort things out. The idea that he could understand what she was going through, made Caroline believe him to be a vampire and a friendly person at the same time.

When his attention was taken away from her, Carol looked around at the hot and sweaty bodies that have been pushed into slow motion. Narrowing her deep ocean blue eyes, she realized that the music has been slowed as well. Turning her gaze back to Zack, she noticed he must have also come to this conclusion as well, because he was drinking down some beer then getting up. When he had offered his hand, and asked so sweetly for her to dance with him, Caroline's face had to blush. To act so proper, so old fashion, it was a great reminder of those days. Turning, she let a warm smile dance across her lips before sliding her hand onto his. "You may." She agrees softly, mesmerized by the mans beauty. A feeling that had not been felt in years.

The male gave another warm smile to the female when he felt her hand slide into his. The soft pink blush that racked her cheeks were almost as beautiful as the natural beauty that seemed to wash over her. Zack pulled his arm close, almost twirling the girl in a graceful manner, before he led her over to the dance floor where the music was playing so softly and sweetly, you would never have believed the people had been bouncing and grinding all over the place. He kept Caroline close to his side, thinking she wasn't going to enjoy the older, drunk men that were gazing at the wrong parts of her body. The protective vampire would shoot them a warning glare, wondering if he should shoot out the fangs as well, but decided against it. As the song got to it's first chorus, he had found them a spot in the middle of the floor where the stench of sweat and body heat didn't hit.

Taking a quick glance to look into her eyes, he smiled another one of his priceless warm smiles and carefully slid his arm around her waist. If she were to react, he would move it immediately. Since he was quite a bit taller, he rested his chin gently against Caroline's forehead, allowing her to wrap her arms around him as well, and even rest her head on his shoulder if that was what she wished to do. Getting lost in the soft rhythm the music gave him, he swayed gently, stepping in all the right places to make the dance more meaningful. He even closed his eyes to picture them in a better place rather than a bar. Zack didn't get to dance with many people, especially some as beautiful as the blonde in his arms. He wasn't going to waste his or her night.

A light laugh escaped her lips as she was twirled over to him, but then was toned down to a light smile as he seemed to keep her close to him. Caroline had to try hard though to act like she hadn't taken noticed to the drunk men that had stared, which had made her feel more uncomfortable in her skin tight dress of choice. But all was forgotten when Zack had stopped the two in the middle of the dance floor, surprisingly less scented with the tempting blood that she craved.

When the two where facing each other, for the first time standing up, Carol was surprised yet again to find that her was quite taller than her, inches clearly. But the movement that followed would change the young women's prospective of the man. The wrapping of his arm around her waist, not lower as was half expected from most guys. She, reacting by slowly letting her arms reach up to rest around his neck, slightly playing with the hair on the back of his neck. Then, as if offered, she let herself lean slightly so that she could rest her head in his inviting shoulder, which was soft and safe feeling.

What a perfect night this was turning out to be for Carol, to find a guy that was the first to have any possibility of being in her future. But this, a dance so romantic and perfect as this, was nothing short of something found in fairy tales. Easily finding Zack's rhythm that went along with the slow song, Caroline couldn't help herself but to let a soft, happy sigh slide out. Peaceful and actually, kinda happy to be with some one, some one she didn't want to kill for that madder, and hoping to never leave. This moment, this spot, was forever frozen in her memories. As she was, frozen in time. Letting her eyes reopen, to see past her perfect moment and to be gazing at the older men. Trying hard to forget their looks, so cruel and devious looking, Carol rubbed her head against Zack's shoulder, getting comfy and closing her eyes again. Realizing she really did feel safe with him.

Zack held Caroline tight in his arms, loosening ever so slightly to allow her to rest her head on his shoulder and move with him. It was an amazing feeling; Being here on the dance floor with her. And for him, the song was over way to quickly. As for her, she seemed to be enjoying it as well. This night had turned out better than he had expected. Tonight he would have just been drinking and sinking into his own skin, then returning to that tiny apartment just to do it all again. But now, something seemed different , like he wasn't supposed to leave. But he pushed the thought away, it was nonsense, wasn't it?

When the song had ended, he held her close to him for a few moments more, breathing in her sweet scent and a smile never leaving his face. The last thing he wanted to do tonight was let her go. But it was early morning now, maybe 3, maybe 4. He had to work in the morning, and as for her, he was quite sure she has a family to get back to. Reluctantly, he let go of her, but gently grabbed her hand, guiding her through the sweaty bodies of people once more. He brought her back to the bar and gave her another warm smile. Did she feel the same way he did right now? About leaving?

His mind was full of many things right now, but things he couldn't understand. Almost as though they weren't his memories. But he smiled through it, his amber eyes shining down on the blonde haired girl be so Dr him. The decision of what would happen next were all in the hands of her. He could leave his life as a tattoo artist any day, but what did she need? Who did she have? His mind bubbled with the questions, but they would never leave his mouth.

The perfect feeling of having some one to lean on, some one to protect her, was growing with every second this song played. But then music had stopped, and the protective hold was only lasted a few extra seconds, before it was released and traded in for a gentle hand hold. Though the slow dancing was better, the thought that maybe Zack wanted to continue just as Caroline had. But what did that mean? Did this single dance prove something? Though Caroline was feeling something about this guy, he was just a guy right now. But it would be up to him if he was going to be anything in her future.

Once the two had reached the bar where they had met, her gaze had caught a glowing smile that seemed to be glued to his gorgeous face. A warm smile crossed her lips towards him, as she continued to wonder about what would be. Though not to long after they had reached the bar, Caroline reached up to give a light kiss on his cheek. "Thank you, that was wonderful." She thanked quietly, battling against the redness that dared cover her cheeks.

Finding herself at a question, she gave little thought to whether to ask or not. "Will you walk me home?" The words slip out, leaving her no time to wonder if it was appropriate or not to ask him. Though they did barely know each other, she felt that he was so safe, like they could share something real. But that was foolish right? This would end up as a one night thing right? That's how everything ended, but would Zack be different? Obviously the only thing that would decide that would be to have it play out.

Zack had sat at the bar, wondering for a while now what would be of next. He kept the girls gentle hand in his for a while after they had taken a seat here. The male felt the urge to protect her, to make sure she was safe no matter what the night, or future for that matter, would bring. The dance had been something special, he could feel it. It wasn't a matter of how he felt it, just for the fact that he felt it. His mind wandered and his eyes remained fixed on her, although unlike some of the people here that could be considered scums, he kept his eyes to the correct parts of her body, mostly her face.

When Caroline kissed him on the cheek, the smile only brightened his thumb massaging her hand ever so slightly and smoothly, almost in a romantic manner. "You are always welcome. Thank you for the dance, I enjoyed it quite a bit myself." The light smile on his face had curved into a smirk, meeting her eyes for a moment, then shimmering away, off somewhere into the bar. If he were a dog, his tail would be raking up all the dust on the floor. But then again, he wasn't a dog, so his smile only brightened.

At the speaking of walking her home, Zack was confused for a moment. But he nodded his head to the young blond haired girl. It was the least he could do, assuring himself that he would slip her his number before the night was over. Most guys would consider a girl like her a one night stand, but this male was different. He took relationships quite seriously, plus he had grown pretty fond of this female. He wasn't going to let her slip through the cracks like most of his girlfriends did. With another heartwarming smile toward Caroline, he got to his feet, taking her hand gently and entwining her fingers. When she herself was all settled, he made his way to the door, holding it open and slightly twirling her out it, the small smile once more curving into a playful smirk.

(If you want, you can just make the next post in Caroline's Suite, that way we can just continue the walk there, makes more sense. xD)

"Come on Tommy, I know you can get me a job here. I could be a bartender, a bouncer, hell make me your damn busboy! I don't care just help me out here." The young man pleaded to a rounder gentleman with a slick mustache and goatee. The bigger man crossed his arms, unsure on how to answer. His eyes looked the young man up and down, admitting to himself that it might not be a bad idea in hiring him. He was well built, so he could probably hold his own as a bouncer, and he was quite a handsome man which meant he'd be a great bartender since ladies and men would be buying drinks out their ears just to talk to him. With a tilt of his head, the man thought hard on it for a moment giving Killian a spark of hope but then Tommy shook his head.

"Sorry, Kill. As much as I'd love to I'm not the owner anymore. So its out of my hands."

He sounded too sincere for Killian to get upset at him, so instead he grunted and walked away. Tommy watched him go with a sigh before going back to whatever he was doing before. This was the third time he'd been turned down for a job in this city. It seems that a lot has changed since he was in town almost a year ago. Most of the businesses he'd known were out of business or bought out. Damn mundane economy, he thought as he made his way over to the bar. Killian needed a drink to wash down this frustration he felt though he knew it wasn't the best idea given how short on cash he was.

As his drink order was presented in front of him, he winked at the barman before sliding the money across the counter. Lifting the small glass to his lips, he savored the slight burn of the Irish whiskey as it went down his throat. With a slight sigh, he set the drink back on the counter while thinking of what he would do next. Killian wondered if any of the vamps or weres were looking to hire a shifter for anything. He also thought of other jobs he could do for people, the thought brought a smile to his lips as he wondered if anyone would offer him work here at the bar.
