◊ Character Description: Madeline's looks are very appeasing to the eye, much like those of the Deadwood family who came before her. Like her father, Madeline possesses a strong jawline and a straight nose. Also, her build is very strong and firm; with wide shoulders and curvaceous hips. She is anything but petite, like her mother had been. And, like her mother, Mattie has chocolate-brown eyes that observe the world carefully. Her skin is blemish free [for the most part] with only a dash of freckles across her shoulders. There are no birthmarks that Madeline is aware of, but she does have a nasty scar across her stomach that she got as a child while trying to climb over a metal fence. While in her wolf form, Mattie is the same grey color that her mother was. Her pelt is sleek and shiny, like most other well-groomed wolves. Her body is muscular and toned, with long legs and a wide torso. Her paws are large, with finely-sharpened claws attached to the end.

◊ Character Personality: Mattie is a very complex person. When it comes to her personality, she might be a bit hard to leave. For the most part she is closed off and distant. She’s overly cautious and doesn’t trust very easily. She’ll have a pleasant conversation with someone, but that’s as far as it’ll go. Most of the time she can be seen just observing silently; watching and learning. When it comes to people she’s comfortable around, Madeline is friendly and playful. She loves to joke around, even if some of her comments are a bit sarcastic. The most important thing to know about Mattie is that she’s beyond loyal. She’ll happily fight alongside her friends and family and she sticks it out when things get tough.

◊ Back Story: Madeline is the youngest child of Henry and Rosalie Deadwood and the only daughter. She had lived with her father and older brother for as long as she could remember before moving to SOTU. When Madeline was just a very young girl her mother was slain by werewolf-hunters. From the time that she could walk it was just Mattie and the two boys, so she never really knew her mother. This caused Mattie to be a bit…different. There was no one around with that feminine edge to teach her about being a “lady.”  No one to force her to wear dresses and play with barbie dolls. Due to being raised by a single father, Mattie became more of a tomboy than anything. She loved roughhousing and playing around outside, especially climbing the trees and rolling in the mud. Over all, Mattie was a happy little girl and found herself not lacking anything in life; aside from a mother.

As she grew up, Mattie became extremely independent. She loved to do things by herself and make choices on her own. Her father called it “rebellious” but Mattie liked to think that she was just more mature than kids her age. By the time she was fifteen Madeline had made up her mind to get away from home and be out on her own. And only two years later she did leave home, without any explanation. Having graduated early, she packed up all of her things and just...left. Mattie made her way to SOTU and decided to start a new life for herself. No commitments, no one to hold her down; just her and the wolf pack that already resided in the area. And after that, the rest is history.
