Character Description - Little and pretty. That's the first words that come to one's mind as they glance at the girl. With long, nearly auburn locks and chestnut brown eyes, Laney carries herself proudly. She knows she has everybody fooled;with looks to match her snappy attitude, she is stereotyped as a "whore" and the worlds average day, well put together, girl. Which she's isn't. Laney is a broken doll with a paint on smile. She stands 5'6 and hates how height isn't on her side; she hates having to look up to others when she should be the one glaring down at them! Her skin is soft and she has a pale complexion;her voice is velvety soft despite the harsh words she usually speaks, and she has a certain smile that helps her get her ways.

Character Personality - Like it was mentioned in her description, Laney is a fragile, already shattered doll with a painted on smile. She likes to pretend that she's alright when in all honesty, she's an insecure mess with a angry and snappy attitude. She's angry at everyone;she doesn't know why. Maybe it was because of her past? Or was it because she just naturally hated everyone? No one knew exactly. Behind her shady, hesitant and hateful attitude, Laney is a sweet and caring girl. Though children, the elderly and animals seem to be the only ones who see this side of her, which is how she wants it to stay. Laney has kept herself from being pushed around by scaring people off with her angry attitude. And then theres those who think they know Laney. She thinks everyone that ever seemed to want to hang around her was lying through their teeth. "You're soo pretty!" You're lying. "I'm not like the other guys!" Uh huh, sure. "You can trust me! I'm you're friend!" Friend my ass. Laney is angry, depressed, and everything you could ever imagine, and tends to deal with things differently, such as loving someone. Laney doesn't know how to love someone properly, but to fill the empty void in her heart, she sleeps with strangers and basically, that's Laney.

Back Story - Laney likes to compare the beginning of her story to the story of the moon and the sun, and how they fell in love;but they couldn't stay together. That was a lot like Laney's child hood was like. Her parents absolutely loved each other but there were too many problems with their relationship, so they split up. Neither parent knew exactly what to do with the shape shifter baby  they made, but they both agreed she'd be better off with her mother, though Laney thought otherwise. Her mother and her never saw eye to eye, and many times they went for each other's throats; her mother didn't understand her child, but Laney's father was too busy with his own new family to notice that his ex-wife and his daughter hated each other. So, Laney grew up alone, depressed and angry. Her parents didn't even think about her, and they seemed to move on, leaving her far behind to rot in the dust.

At the age of sixteen, Laney got into drugs and the wrong crowd, you know. The stuff some teenagers seem to be caught up in. She fell in love with the player, lost her virginity at too young, that type of stuff; you get the picture. Did her mother care? Not really; her mother, actually, was too busy getting high to notice that her daughter would walk out the door of their apartment at three in the morning. On christmas and other holidays, Laney never went over to visit her father mainly because it hurt to see him with another women and other children;it hurt to see him happy while she was hurt all over. Staying away from home, Laney found herself spending move of her long days at a club, getting beyond wasted before she wandered home to find her mother sleeping with another man;the lover was different each night. So, that was just a sugar coated version of Laney's story, and that's all anyone will really ever hear.
